Affiliates with Hong Kong Recording Industry Alliance Ltd (HKRIA), Hong Kong Karaoke Licensing Alliance Limited (HKKLA) was established in May 2010 and are authorized by Sony Music Entertainment Hong Kong Limited, Warner Music Hong Kong Limited, Universal Music Limited and EMI Group Hong Kong Limited (collectively “Recording Companies”) to grant server and reproduction licences of approved-karaoke videos (K-server Licences), and to collect relevant licence fees from, physical outlets / establishments providing karaoke entertainment services in Hong Kong and Macau.

HKKLA aims at providing the best and most convenient way with one stop service authorizing approved-karaoke videos to the karaoke entertainment services in Hong Kong and Macau.  Our K-server licences cover new releases and back catalogue of approved-karaoke videos as well as concert titles and non-Chinese versions of approved-karaoke videos.  HKKLA currently controls approximately 90 labels and over 400 artists of the Recoding Companies and its affiliates worldwide. More and more labels and artists are joining-in and the list will be expanded from time to time.

HKKLA has appointed K-Net Music Entertainment Limited (“K-Net”) as effective from 1 July 2010 to negotiate the K-server Licences and to collect licence fees from physical outlets/establishments providing karaoke entertainment services in Hong Kong territory only.
